Chemical warning

How does this leather bag have a chemical warning?

Hello Shelley:

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted in November 1986. The proposition protects the state of California’s drinking water sources.

You might have noticed a Proposition 65 warning on our website or product tag. A growing number of manufacturers are adding warnings on their products in order to comply with the California law.

Proposition 65 requires business to provide warnings to California residents for products that contain even minuscule amounts of any one of the 800 chemicals known to the state to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Proposition 65 requires retailers, restaurants and entertainment attractions in the state of California to post this information as well. These warnings can be seen in hotels, gas stations, airports, golf courses, public buildings and stores throughout the state of California.

We care about your safety and well-being, which is why we are including these warnings on every product on our website to help you with your buying decisions.
